Free admission (fee exempted) to Suikei-en (Japanese Garden) and Mebuki-no-Mori (Budding Tree Forest)
- Visitors of 60 years old or over can enter for free (admission fee exempted) by presenting an official ID with the birth date (must be a local citizen).
- Visitors with special needs (physically-challenged) and one accompanying person can enter for free (admission fee exempted) by presenting a valid physical disability certificate.
- One parent can enter for free (admission fee exempted) by presenting a valid Kyoto Child Care Support Passport.
- Excursions or field-trips of kindergartens, nurseries, primary schools and junior high schools (Application required in advance)

Group discount for Suikei-en (Japanese Garden) and Mebuki-no-Mori (Budding Tree Forest)
- Admission is discounted by 20 % for groups of 25 or more who are not already eligible for free admission.
- Groups are requested to contact the Park Administration Office in advance or submit the application form for group use and fee exemption request in order to avoid park areas from becoming over crowded, regardless of the areas the group will visit.
Miscellaneous
- A group of 200 or more visitors may be requested to divide into a few smaller groups to enter the Suikei-en (Japanese Garden).
- The permission of the Governor of the Kyoto Prefecture is requested in order to occupy a part of the Hiroba (Open Space) area.
- Groups using the Hiroba (Open Space) are requested to contact the Park Administration Office. in advance or submit the application form for group use and fee exemption request in order to avoid over crowding, even when the group is not occupying a part of the Hiroba (Open Space) area.
Parking Area
A parking area with the capacity of 10 large vehicles and 200 standard-sized cars is located in the west of the park. In addition, parking areas for those with special needs (or those who have difficulty walking; elderly, expecting mothers, injuries) are located near the Park Administration Office by the entrance of the Suikei-en (Japanese Garden).

Parking areas for those with special needs and conditions
1. Parking area near the Park Administration Office and Suikei-en (Japanese Garden)
- Enter the parking area from the Seika Blvd. by passing over the sidewalk carefully. Please call the Park Administration Office (TEL:0774-93-1200) upon arrival so that the bollards can be removed.
- Please be reminded that the parking capacity is limited and large vehicles cannot be parked here.
- The parking fee is 400 yen for standard sized cars and 1500 yen for cars with a license plate that have a classification number (first digit) of either 1 or 2.
2. General parking area
- Parking spaces for those with special needs and conditions are assigned. Parking fee is the same as other visitors.
Restrooms
Restrooms are located near the main parking area, in the Lawn Area, the Taniai (Valley), the Visitor Center, and in the Kangetsuro Hall of the Suikei-en (Japanese Garden). Some restrooms are equipped with facilities for those with special needs and babies (diaper changing tables).
Rest houses
There are two small arbors (called Rest House) in the Lawn Area and one in the Taniai (Valley). In addition, visitors can take a rest in Visitor Center or Kangetsuro Hall.
Nursing Room and Diaper Changing
Nursing Room (where you can feed milk to your baby) is located in the Exhibition Room of the Visitor Center. There is also a diaper changing station in the ladies’ bathroom on the basement floor of the Visitor Center.
